It is the only sleep-in basketball camp in Lebanon, hosted in the beautiful setting of "La Reserve" in Afqa. At All Star Camp, participants will grow and learn about more than basketball. While they practice "their skills and learn new ones" instead of "ball-handling, dribbling, and shooting..".
Our MissionOur objective at camp is to provide participants with the right setting and instruction, that will help them develop into better athletes and more responsible and independent individuals, while reintroducing them to the fun of Nature and the Outdoors.
Camp HistoryThe All Star Camp was started in 2000 by Bahi Rifai. The camp is one of various programs our team promotes and organizes (Schools Ski Trips, Championships, Corporate Team-building, Corporate Games...) under the umbrella of our Dubai based company, High Five Events. Mira and Bahi Rifai are the All Star Camp directors. Both are AUB graduates. After stints in the US and the UK, they moved to Dubai in 1989. Mira has been involved in the education field for years as teacher and school director. She also worked as a counselor in international camps in Switzerland. Her long experience interacting with children and teenagers is very valuable to our camp. Throughout his career as a professional in the finance field, Bahi stayed close to his favorite sport, basketball. Having played for AUB, the Sporting Club and the Lebanese national team, he later started coaching children in Dubai, before starting the camp in 2000. The coaching staff at camp is always headed by a professional coach from the USA or France. The 1st three years, Coach Martin Zeller was our head coach. Coach "Z" is one of the people directly responsible for the early success of the camp. The last two years, Coach Raymond Naccour was in charge of the basketball program. Coach Raymond has done a superb job. His enthusiasm and love of the game are contagious. His ability to communicate and transfer his knowledge are unparalleled.
